This role will provide financial reporting, analysis and budget/forecast to the IT function and relevant projects. The individual will be required to work closely with IT and Finance colleagues, providing financial support on both project and operational expenditure, ensuring robust accounting practice and driving insightful reporting and analysis.
Location: Dunstable, hybrid- a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Salary: £52,000 - £57,000

What you’ll do:
- Reporting of monthly performance through preparation of IT reporting and management Information highlighting variances and identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Oversee and manage the budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of OPEX within the Technology department, ensuring alignment with business plan and financial targets
- Provide Finance Business support to IT teams in ensuring they understand the financial impact of any operational decision and adding value where appropriate.
- Complete month-end processes and prepare balance sheet reconciliation. Appropriate accounting treatment for items such as rebates.
What we need:
- Strong understanding and proven experience of accounting treatment for expenditures, including the distinction between Capital Expenditure (Capex) and P&L.
- Ability to apply accounting principles to IT investments, supplier rebates and ensuring correct classification.
- Skilled in working with finance teams to optimize spend while maintaining accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Proven experience in finance to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to more efficient workflows and reporting. s.
- Proven finance experience to collaborate with key stakeholders across the business senior stakeholders to optimize IT investments and operational costs.
