Working in the commercial property finance team, this role will be at the heart of Whitbread’s future growth strategy. This role forms an integral part of the investment cycle with responsibility for managing property investment appraisals ensuring site packs have been thoroughly prepared, reviewed and are ready for board approval/sign, while playing an active part in attending weekly review meetings and providing valuable insight and challenge to a range of stakeholders.
Location: Dunstable, hybrid- a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

What you’ll do:
- Working within the investments team to fully understand the investment cycle whilst delivering investment appraisals in a timely and accurate way.
- Regularly review and update to reflect appropriate application of appraisal techniques and metrics.
- Develop strong relationships with the Acquisitions and Business Development Teams to fully understand sites being appraised and to ensure the inputs and assumptions are accurate & robust.
What we need:
- Finalist/Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Analytical mind-set with ability to understand, join dots at speed and requires minimal support in coming up with financial models
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to understand, challenge, inform investment decisions
- Ability to present succinctly to senior stakeholders
